Assessment scope

Step 5 - Passenger Train Traffic. Real-time train running and forecast data flows to you from the first infrastructure manager and the second infrastructure manager, and onward to station managers at the passenger station and on-board information systems. Under Annex pt. 2.6 the infrastructure manager - not the railway undertaking - sends the TrainRunningInformationMessage, TrainRunningForecastMessage, TrainDelayCauseMessage and TrainRunningInterruptionMessage; you send in the opposite direction only where a service disruption arises from the operation of your own train (pt. 2.6.6(3)). Those 'train traffic messages' follow Appendix C, index [1] (ERA Ontology v4) - not SIRI, which Appendix C lists at index [P.5] for point 4.9 alone. This module covers the direction of flow, the format, delay and disruption reporting, the station information chain, and the BY-SA licence that governs downstream use.
