Step 2 - Train Composition. Before the block train departs the origin terminal, the lead railway undertaking sends a TrainCompositionMessage to the first infrastructure manager - and terminal operators are also receivers of this data. For the intermodal terminal, the composition message is the crane sequencing plan: wagon order, ILU types, wagon lengths and weights, and dangerous goods positions all drive physical operations at the terminal.
